Carers Week is all about celebrating the amazing work unpaid Carers do every day for their families, friends and communities. It’s a chance to say thank you, raise awareness of the challenges Carers face, and shine a light on the support that’s out there.
This year’s theme, Caring About Equality, highlights the need for fairer opportunities for unpaid Carers. Each day of Carers Week will have a specific focus and highlight the different ways inequality impacts Carers’ lives:

A huge part of Carers Week is raising awareness in the community. You can do this by adding your voice to the Carers Wall, putting a poster up in your window, sharing on social media, and many other ways.
Visit the Carers Week website to add your voice to the wall of Carers. Share your story about being a Carer and why equality for Carers matters. It takes less than 5 minutes to do via a quick online form.
You can download the Carers Week posters to display in a window, or ask a local business to display one for you.
The best way to raise awareness is to share your own story with the people you know, and social media is a great way to do this. There will also be plenty of posts throughout the week from Stirling Carers Centre and the official Carers Week channels. Every post shared helps raise more awareness.
