Apply for a short breaks grant of up to £300

About the Time to Live Fund

The Time to Live fund enables Stirling Carers Centre to provide local Carers with grants of up to £300 to help you take a short break that meets your needs. This gives you the freedom to choose a break that suits your lifestyle – whether that’s a one off event, a short break away, or enabling you to have regular time away from your caring role.

The fund is open to Unpaid Carers of all ages, regardless of who you are caring for. This includes Young Carers, Young Adult Carers and Parent Carers.

Time to Live is a funding programme of the Short Breaks Fund, operated by Shared Care Scotland on behalf of the National Carers Organisations and the Scottish Government.

Who decides who gets the money?

Applications received for the Time to Live Fund will be reviewed and assessed by a funding panel who will make the final decision on the allocation of funding.

To ensure a fair and transparent decision making process we will adhere to the Eligibility Criteria which will form the basis of the panel’s decision.

The panel may decide that overall the application does meet the eligibility criteria but that there are some elements out-with its scope.  In this instance, they may make the decision not to grant the full amount requested but instead will decide to fund a particular element of the break/activity.  In addition, if there are more applications considered at a panel meeting than funds available, the panel will award funding to the applications, which in their opinion, best fit the intended outcomes of the fund.

The panel’s decision is final.
